A method was presented to judge the limit tilting angle of cylindrical roller bearings under full-film lubrication.Taking NU206E cylindrical roller bearing as the research object,a finite length line contact elastohydrodynamic lubrication model under tilting state was established.By fitting the relationship curve between tilting angle and minimum oil film thickness,combined with the film thickness ratio formula,the limit tilting angle of roller under full-film lubrication was explored.The results show that when the roller deflects,the distribution of oil film pressure and oil film thickness between the roller and the raceway is no longer symmetrical about the Y=0 section,the oil film pressure increases and oil film thickness decrease at one end,while the change is opposite at the other end.The pressure changes more obviously,causing the phenomenon of contact pressure concentration.As the tilting angle of the roller increases,the minimum oil film thickness decreases,and the phenomenon of pressure concentration at one end becomes more obvious.When the tilting angle of the roller is greater than the limit tilting angle,the bearing will no longer be in full-film EHL state,and the lubrication effect of the bearing will deteriorate.The research results can provide a reference for the judgment of bearing lubrication status under the condition of tilting.
