Abstract:Fluorinated graphite/fluorocarbon(FGi/FEVE)composite coating was prepared by modifying FEVE with FGi,its adhesion, hardness, wear resistance and anti-corrosion performance were analyzed, and the wear resistant and anticorrosion mechanism was discussed. The results show that the presence of the C-F bond in FGi not only increases the interface compatibility between the coating and the filler, further enhances the thermal stability of the composite coating, improves the adhesion strength and hardness, but also has excellent hydrophobic properties, which increases the contact angle of the coating surface from 84.5° to 102.0°.Electrochemical test result shows that the low frequency impedance modulus of FEVE composite coating modified by 1% FGi is 3.1×105 Ω·cm2,which is nearly one order of magnitude higher than that of pure FEVE coating, indicating that the composite coating has better anti-corrosion performance on the steel substrate. This is attributed to the hydrogen bond formed between FGi and the curing agent N75,which increases the dispersion of FGI in FEVE coating and can more effectively prevent the penetration of corrosive media.Friction test result shows that adding 1% FGi can reduce the friction coefficient of FEVE coating by 169% and the wear rate by 48.0%.FGi modification enhances the electrical insulation and hydrophobicity of FEVE coating, and plays the role of physical barrier,it can effectively prevent substrate from corrosion and crack expansion,so as to effectively improve the anti-corrosion and wear resistance of FGi/FEVE composite coating.
