Abstract:The Pro/E software was used to establish a threedimensional geometric model of fluidsolid coupling of the upstream pumping mechanical seal with inclined groove was established,and the unidirectional fluidsolid coupling calculation was performed in ANSYS Workbench.Three kinds of moving ring materials,SiC,WC and YWN8 were compared and analyzed by finite element method to study the influence of materials and working condition parameters on stress and deformation of the upstream pumping mechanical seal.The results show that the maximum stress and the maximum deformation occur at the outer edge of the inclined groove.The maximum stress is gradually decreased with the increase of the rotation speed,and the rotation speed has no effect on the maximum deformation.The pressure difference has a greater influence on the maximum stress and the maximum deformation,and the maximum stress and the maximum deformation show a linear increasing trend with the pressure difference.Among the three materials studied,YWN8 has the largest maximum deformation,which is not suitable for moving ring materials.While SiC has the smallest maximum deformation,strong wear resistance and corrosion resistance,it is recommended to choose SiC as the sealing ring material on the premise that all other conditions meet the requirements.
