Abstract:In order to meet the increasingly severe working conditions of aero-engines,a series of modified aviation lubricating oils were prepared by adding different amounts of additives to a certain hydrocarbon aviation lubricating oil.The performance indicators of these modified oil samples and the original oil sample, including viscosity, acid value, pour point, antiwear properties, load carrying capacity, initial oxidation temperature(IOT),oxidation induction period (OIT) were tested at different oxidation time and oxidation temperature by the oxidation condition simulation device, and the comprehensive properties of the modified oil samples were evaluated. The results show that the higher the oxidation temperature, the slower the color deepening speed of the modified oil, that is,the more obvious the effect of inhibiting the oxidation of the oil.Compared with the original oil sample, the acid value growth rate of these modified oil samples is lower under the same oxidation conditions, indicating that the modified oil sample can effectively suppress the increase in acid value and improve the corrosion resistance of the oil product. The modification has no adverse effect on the viscosity, pour point and anti-wear properties of the oil, however,it may lead to a decrease in the bearing capacity of the oil,but the impact is within a controllable range. After oil sample modification, the IOT and OIT values increase, and the oxidation stability is significantly improved.
