Abstract:In order to improve the tribological performance of cylinder liner-piston ring,a diamond-shaped pit texture with bionic arrangement was designed. The surface texture of cylinder liner was processed by laser etching technology. At the same rotational speed and different loads, the experiments were carried out on the MWF-10 reciprocating friction and wear tester to explore the influence of diamond texture with bionic arrangement on the friction and wear performance of cylinder liner-piston ring friction pair, and the results were compared with those of cylinder liners with array texture and untreated original cylinder liners. The results show that the arrangement form of texture has a great influence on the oil film thickness, especially under heavy load conditions, reasonable optimization of the arrangement form can achieve better hydrodynamic lubrication effect. The diamond-shaped texture with bionic arrangement realizes the full coverage of texture features in the reciprocating direction, which can greatly limit the movement and collection of wear debris, effectively reduce the surface roughness after wear, and reduce the abrasive wear. The diamond-shaped texture with bionic arrangement can effectively improve the oil film thickness, enhance the surface bearing capacity and achieve the best lubrication effect under various working conditions.
