Abstract:In order to optimize the formulation and improve the performance of non-asbestos gasket,non-asbestos gasket with multi-wall carbon nano-tubes(MWCNTs)was studied.A uniform design of MWCNTs and the main components of non-asbestos gasket was carried out to prepare non-asbestos gaskets material,and the properties of the tensile strength,compression ratio and rebound rate,density and aging coefficient of the composite were tested.The relation model between the properties and formulation was concluded and verified using multi-linear regression analysis.The results show that the optimum formula is as follows:2.48% of MWCNTs,18.58% of QY cotton,23.22% of mineral wool,23.22% of kaolin,6.19% of mica,13.93% of French chalk,12.38% of pulp fiber.The regression equation can be used to predict the properties of gasket materials.The effect of different component materials on the properties of gasket materials is different,and the content of MWCNTs has the most obvious effect on the performance of gasket.The addition of MWCNTs can also improve the aging properties of gasket materials.With the increase of MWCNTs content,the tensile strength,rebound rate,density and aging coefficient of asbestos free gasket increase,but the compression rate decreases gradually.Therefore,on the premise of ensuring that the compression rate of gasket material meets the requirements,appropriately increasing the content of MWCNTs can significantly improve the performance of non-asbestos gasket.
