Abstract:In order to evaluate the dynamic characteristics of a newly developed double-cylinder hydraulic shock absorber, the dynamic characteristics of the shock absorber were tested by MTS damper performance test dynamometer, and the displacement characteristics and velocity characteristic curves were obtained. The results show that the displacement characteristic curve can reflect the damping force characteristic of the shock absorber, and the velocity characteristic curve can reflect the velocity characteristic of the shock absorber. The dynamic performance of the shock absorber at 20 ℃ was evaluated based on the displacement characteristic curve and the velocity characteristic curve of the shock absorber. It is found that when the shock absorber is operated for 1/4 cycle, the damping force and piston rod speed reach the maximum value of the recovery process, while the displacement is in the center of the shock absorber. When the damper is operated for 2/4 cycle, the damping force and piston rod speed are close to 0,while displacement reaches the maximum value of 50 mm. When the damper is operated for 3/4 cycle, the damping force and piston rod speed reach the maximum value of the compression process, while the displacement is in the center of the shock absorber. When the damper is operated for a cycle, the damping force and piston rod speed are close to 0,while displacement reaches the minimum value of -50 mm.The dynamic characteristics of this type of shock absorber are relatively stable, but the displacement will exceed its working stroke of ±50 mm when the road has a large impact,so the working stroke of the shock absorber should be increased to adapt to the complex road conditions.
