Abstract:The friction coefficient, surface morphology and wear volume of the friction pairs of titanium alloy of different hardness with ceramic ball under different loads and velocities were investigated by friction and wear tester, ultradepthoffield microscope and laser confocal microscope, and the wear mechanism was discussed.Through range and variance analysis,it is found that the influence of friction speed on friction coefficient is the largest, the influence of load is the second, and the influence of hardness of titanium alloy is the smallest. When the load is 2 N,the speed is 300 r/min and the hardness of titanium alloy is HV480, the friction coefficient of the friction pair is the smallest.Based on the optimal results of orthogonal test, the control variable test was carried out. The results show that the wear mode of titanium alloy is mainly abrasive wear when the load is less than 2 N,abrasive wear and oxidation wear when the load is 4 N,delamination wear accompanied by serious oxidation phenomenon when the load is 6 N.The wear mode of titanium alloy is mainly abrasive wear when the friction speed is less than 150 r/min,mainly delamination wear and abrasive wear when the friction speed is 250 r/min,mainly delamination wear when the friction speed is more than 350 r/min
