Abstract:To calculate the remaining useful life(RUL) of lubricating oils and determine the change oil cycle scientifically, acid number(AN) was taken as characterization index, the influence of operating condition, such as temperature and moisture on AN was analyzed through simulation experiments based on the basic principles of oxidation kinetics. The activation energy was calculated by the linear regression of temperature and reaction rate, and the lifetime equation of the lubricating oisl at a certain temperature was established. The results indicate that the increase of working temperature can significantly shorten the RUL of lubricating oils, and the moisture can affect the service life of lubricating oils by changing the activation energy of the reaction.Based on the residual life model of the lubricating oils established by the Arrhenius equation of oxidation kinetics, the RUL of the lubricating oils can be obtained quickly by analysis of specific performance indicators through simulation experiments.
