Friction and wear behavior of selflubrication PTFE fabric composites under highload condition was evaluated in shaftonbush friction and wear tester. The worn surfaces of selflubricating PTFE fabric composites and counterpart bush were analyzed by using the scanning electron microcopy (SEM),and the wear mechanism was also discussed. The results show that the selflubricating PTFE fabric composites can withstand the test of 400 MPa load and 25 000 times oscillation frequency. There is a significant correlation between the friction and wear properties of selflubricating fabric composites and the test load. The friction coefficient are obviously decreased and wear depth are increased with the increasing of test load.Along with the change of load from low to high, the wear mechanism is changed from adhesive wear to abrasive wear.
