Abstract:The software Pro/E was used to build the three dimensional solid model of the shellconveyer of selfpropelled gun,and the model was simplified and imported into the multi-body dynamics software RecurDyn to build the virtual prototype model of it.The correctness of the prototype was verified by the experimental data. Two kinds of typical faults, the chain head wear fault and chain wheel wear fault was injected into the virtual prototype model by fault injection technique, and the difference between fault value and normal one was obtained by simulation analysis. The results show that the wear of the chain head could lead to the dangerous situations, such as jamming and falling of cartridge, incorrect rammer in the process of shellconveyer, which seriously affects the normal operation of the system. The wear of chain wheel could lead to the speed of larger chain wheel lower than normal value, and the axial speed of smaller one varies drastically, thereby twist and dislocation of the chain are happened,so as to cause insufficient force by the shellconveyer. The performance characteristics of dangerous faults possibly appeared under the model of typical faults are obtain in this research, which provides certain reference to the state monitoring and innovative maintenance of selfpropelled gun.
