Abstract:The polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)composites filled with polybenzoate/MoS2 were prepared by moldingsinteing method. The influnce of polybenzoate content on the mechanical properties of composites,as well as the influnce of polybenzoate and MoS2 content on the tribological behaviors of composites against aluminum alloy and anodized aluminum alloy were studied. The worn surface of the composite and aluminum alloy were investigated by SEM.The results show that the tensile strength and elongation at break of the composites are reduced, but the ball indentation hardness is increased with the increase of the polybenzoate content. The friction coefficient and wear rate of composites against aluminum alloy and anodized aluminum alloy are decreased with the increase of the polybenzoate and MoS2 content. The uniform and continuous transfer film can be formed on the friction surface of aluminum alloy and anodized aluminum alloy for MoS2 filled into PTFE composite, the friction surface is smooth and the wear is reduced.A dense oxide film is formed on the anodized aluminum alloy surface, which improves the tribological behaviors of composites against aluminum alloy.
