An antifriction nano-copper solid lubricant coating was prepared by using the nano-copper suspension with a small amount of PTFE nano-particles as the basic lubricant and some epoxy resin as binder.The friction behavior of the solid lubricant with different epoxy contents was measured by using friction testing machine and was compared with normal compound grease.The corrosion resistance of the solid lubricating coating was tested by using a salt spraying tester.The field makeandbreak tests were carried out on casing thread with nanocopper solid lubricant coating.The results show that the solid lubricating coating with the epoxy resin content of 40% has the best anti-friction property and corrosion resistance,and its antifriction property is much more superior than that of compound grease.No galling happens of the dope-free premium joints through 10 times of makeandbreak test.The nano-copper solid lubricant coating shows the potential to instead of compound grease.
