The degradation law of antioxidant additives in the oil samples of aviation lubricating oil obtained from aircrafts was analyzed with GC by means of external standard method. The thermal oxidation kinetics of antioxidant additives at high temperature was studied through using accelerated oxidation tests. The results show that a level of the concentration of the high temperature antioxidant additive can be maintained for a relatively long time for application of this kind of aviation lubricating oil. The thermal oxidative degradation process of it is considered approximately as a first order reaction. Oil supplement can extent the degradation rate apparently of high temperature antioxidant of lubrication oil, and the mode of the supplement can also affect the antioxidant performance. However, the low temperature antioxidant additive is vanished much faster than high temperature antioxidant. The changes of viscosity and total acid number of lubrication oil can be detected to monitor the oxidation degradation, thereby effectively ensure the safety of aviation lubricating oil utilization of an engine of airplane.
