Abstract:The temperature and stress field of friction disks was researched using ABAQUS when matching with three different friction block distribution while the disk structures were the same. The distribution and change of friction disc temperature field and thermal stress field caused by friction block distribution differences were analyzed under friction speed of 50 km/h.The results indicate that, under the same friction block shape as well as the same frictional contact area, the increased friction block number leads to homogenization of friction energy distribution,so the contact between blocks and disks gets homogenized serving to a decreased contact pressure.Consequently, the peak temperature of the friction disk and the friction block is reduced, the temperature fluctuation along with the direction of friction disk thickness is minimized, the axial displacement of the friction block is decreased.Under certain friction conditions, the change of brake block number has no obvious influence on the surface stress of friction disk.
